Dr Thirona Naicker works as a specialist paediatrician in medical genetics. She provides genetic services to children born with congenital disorders in KwaZulu-Natal. She is involved in paediatric outpatient clinics including multi-disciplinary genetics, neurodevelopmental, craniofacial, immunodeficiency and dermatology clinics. She completed her PhD on the genetics of cleft lip palate in September 2022.
