Dr Moodley obtained her bachelor of medicine in 2004 at the University of Witwatersrand. She then qualified as a specialist paediatrician in 2010. She went on the further subspecialise in paediatric haematology and qualified as a paediatric haematologist in May 2016. A member of the South African Association of Paediatric Haematology and Oncology (SAAPHO), which is a national group of paediatric oncologists that is actively involved in the development of national treatment protocols for childhood malignancies. Dr Moodlev is currently in private practice in KwaZulu-Natal based at Lenmed Ethekwini Private Hospital & Heart Centre, 2017 to date.
